PCB Appointed Muhammad Yousaf As Head Coach of the Pakistani Cricket Team

Pakistan's new Head Coach Muhammad Yousaf

Muhammad Yousaf has now been appointed as Pakistan’s U19 Head Coach. The decision has been made by the PCB Management Committee under the guidance of Mr Zaka Ashraf. And from now on Muhammad Yousaf will be serving as Pakistan’s new Head Coach for the upcoming events.

PCB also announced that his first assignments as U19 Head Coach will include the 2023 ACC Asia Cup going to be held in UAE from December 8 to 17 and the 2024 ICC World Cup Sri Lanka starting from 13 January to 4 February.

PCB also quoted the sayings of Muhammad Yousaf: “I am pleased to join as Pakistan U19 head coach and feel honored to have been given the opportunity to contribute to Pakistan cricket by the Chairman PCB Management Committee Mr Zaka Ashraf.”

Previously, he has served as batting coach of Pakistan’s Cricket Team. And from now on he’ll be our new Head Coach and will be representing Pakistan’s talent in international tournaments.

If we take a look at his past experience and career in cricket, Muhammad Yousaf was one of the most distinguished batsmen. Yousaf represented Pakistan at many tournaments internationally. Being a part of the Pakistani Cricket team he scored 7530 runs in Test cricket matches and 9720 runs in ODI. His career as a player in the Pakistani Cricket Team was from 1988 till 2010.

He also set a record for most runs in Test cricket in the format of 2006 when he scored 1788 runs in a single year.
