With the launch of streaming services, one is exposed to content from different countries and cultures. It has served as a source of cultural familiarity in many ways. Out of these streaming platforms, Netflix has been the first and most popular one, serving content from diverse parts of the world. Pakistan has been lagging in the OTT content game but not anymore! The first Pakistani Netflix series has been announced and we can’t contain our excitement. Here are the details we have so far been able to get our hands on:
Title: “Jo Bache Hain Sang Samait Lo”
The series will be based on the novel of the same name by famous writer Farhat Ishtiaq. She has been the author of many hits such as Humsafar, Diyar-e-Dil, Bin Roye, Rehaai, Udaari, and Yaqeen ka Safar. Her writings revolve around family values, loss, grief, love, and social issues. The writings have resonated with many as the audience always finds something to relate to in the characters of Farhat’s wonderfully curated fictional worlds.
The plot of “Jo Bache Hain Sang Samait Lo” revolves around a mysterious boy with a disturbing past named Sikander. He then crosses paths with a lively, cheerful, and full-of-life girl named Liza whose life has not been a bed of roses. Despite their contrasting personalities, they both fall for each other. The story then unravels the connection between the pair.
It has its twists and turns and a fair share of interesting characters other than the leads. The audience has shown quite a positive response to the novel since its release.
